“La Chanson des Moustiques,” a collaborative effort by Debbie Hardy LaGrange and Louis Michot, is, in part, the inspiration for Mosquito Tees, a line of t-shirts. These shirts bring to light the challenges of life, depicted as mischievous little mosquitos and a light-hearted way of dealing with them. All the while, we celebrate Cajun French, Music and Dance in hopes of keeping those treasured gifts alive for future generations to embrace and enjoy.

“Take a close look at those conniving little pests that I inherited from my father. They have been flying around inside my head for years. I chose well when I hired Francine Primeaux-Kennedy, a super talented graphic designer, to give them a personality you can’t help but love and wings to set them about their dirty business. When I instructed her to have one little mean mosquito stealing a note, stretching and pulling it from the fiddle f hole, she nailed it! It’s been a kick watching them fly!”

LaGrange is an Arnaudville native and resident who began writing poetry and lyrics for songs following a 2010 diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease. Michot, a Grammy recipient, wrote the music for "La Chanson des Moustiques."
